This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our dynamic research team at SIT Teaching & Learning Academy (STLA). The research assistant will play a crucial role in project management, data collection and analysis and present findings to various stakeholders. The core of this role will be to assist in several new research projects which explore various approaches for how Generative AI (GAI) and Large Language Models (LLMS) can be used to facilitate better teaching and learning practices. Beyond this, you will work closely with and be guided by STLA’s larger research team and have opportunities to support on wider research projects as part of our research team as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support formulation of research methodologies for several AI based research projects
- Schedule and Conduct surveys, interviews and FGD’s for data collection purposes
- Manage and monitor survey completion rates
- Manage tokens of appreciation for research participants
- Conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis of data when required
- Effectively communicate research findings to the team and various stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or evidence of equivalent knowledge and skills (e.g., psychology, education, social sciences, computer science)
- 1-3 years of experience in educational research
- Functional understanding of teaching methods and strategies in an applied learning context
- Experience in research project management and data collection preferred
- Experience in qualitative and quantitative research methods preferred
- Possess track record of scholarly publications/presentations preferred
- Familiarity and interest with coaching principles and research is a plus
- Knowledge, interest and experience in GAI/LLM research is a plus
